CHAPTER
V
PURITY CONTROL TEST FOR AMYGDALIN
Q. F. B. Petra Beltran
Corona
Chief of the
Production Dept. of KEMSA LABORATORIES, Ltd.
The experiment is indispensable for the
evaluation of the Absolute Quality of
AMYGDALIN.
No other
substance, no matter how similar, from a
physical or chemical point of view, gives
the results obtained by the method described
below and is of such sensitivity, that this
experiment is considered to be the model or
"standard" to evaluate the purity of very
composite mentioned here that contains
AMYGDALIN.
Method
|
1. |
Measure a volume equivalent to 100
mg. and transfer it to a volumetric
matrass.
|
|
2. |
Add distilled water the complete 100
ml. of solution.
|
|
3. |
Measure the absorbancy of this
solution in the ultraviolet range
230-280 microns, in a
spectrophotometer with a one cm.
quartz cell.
|
|
4. |
Graph the complete ultraviolet
absorbancy curve.
|
|
5. |
Determine the tangent line between
the minimal absorbancy (near 230
microns) and the final inflexion
(280 microns).
|
|
6. |
Designate as point A, the maximum
absorbancy of the curve and as point
B, that corresponding to the level
of the traced tangent. |
|
 |
|
7. |
Where
595 is a constant. |
Conclusion
The results obtained
with KEMDALIN shown here are irrefutable
proof of the highest quality of KEM SA LAB
AMYGDALIN offered to doctors and patients.
Every product containing AMYGDALIN should
undergo this Evaluation Test in a
spectrophotometer of high sensitivity.
